For the last twenty-seven years, I have worked in the data processing departments of businesses that include: retail gasoline, utilities, banking, paper manufacturing and publishing. • Directed and implemented cost saving changes to the way Chilton Company approached their Postal and Direct Mail Services needs. Using in-depth analysis, modeling and effective implementation, Group 1's software and many other "home grown" ideas were installed providing a cost avoidance of $750,000 each year.

• Directed a clerical fulfillment operation within Chilton that prior to my arrival had 110% turnover. Focused and creative problem solving allowed a balanced reduction in staff with improved quantity and quality in documents processed. This allowed my department to pass each strenuous BPA audit successfully.

• Development of an extensive network of contacts within the Postal Industry has been vital to the success of both the periodical and promotional mailings for Chilton. These networks have given me the opportunity to provide accurate, pertinent and timely information to my employer with a consistently faster implementation schedule. This success and respect in the industry has given me the opportunity to be a member of the Philadelphia Postal Customer Council, MTAC's Periodical Service Work Group and the USPS Periodical Advisory Committee.

• Instituted and have used Postal programs such as Address Element Correction, Address Correction Service, National Change of Address, Delivery Sequence File and Drop Shipping for Periodicals.

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS (1977 - Present)

• Directed the implementation and execution of the GROUP 1's Code1, MailStream and Business Merge/Purge software. The use of these products contributed to an annual cost avoidance of $750M. The mailing systems department consisted of five technical personnel. The annual budget was $200M.

• Managed the interface with the United States Postal Service focusing primarily on the Periodical class but with responsibility for all classes of mail. This Postal network and knowledge helped to eliminate a minimum of $500M in additional postage payments each year.

• Directed a clerical fulfillment operation that consisted of thirty-five full and part time personnel. This group processed 1MM subscriber documents annually. Budget responsibility of $800M annually.

RICHARD J. PEZICK

• Analyzed and recommended the selection of Subscription Fulfillment vendors for Circulation using the

Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Responsibilities also included the on-going interface with these vendors.

• Directed the implementation of a Marketing Database that originally consisted of over 75 individual files. The project reduced operating expenses by $250M and improved mailing responses by as much as 20 percent.

• Served as the project leader of a team with the responsibility for the analysis necessary for the development of a state-of-the-art Subscription Fulfillment System. System design used IDMS.

• Served as the project leader of a team that provided Subscription Fulfillment services to publishing companies such as ZIFF-DAVIS and BILLBOARD.
