mailingstuff.com is a comprehensive on-line directory of "everything to do with mail", and that fact alone could make it a bear to use! To help you quickly understand how to get around the site, find exactly what you are looking for, and make your time here as easy and trouble-free as posible, we have put together this web site overview. Spend a few moments here and you'll quickly understand how best to use the web site.

HOW THE SITE IS ORGANIZED
mailingstuff.com is divided into two distinct areas:

at the top right corner of your browser screen you will see ten blue index tabs. All the tab folders contain general information, which may be of interest to all users, including:
- classified advertising
- information on supporting mail related organizations and upcoming trade shows and exhibits
- special offers and/or free information, software and products from our advertisers
- how to contact mailingstuff.com and list or advertise here
- our mission statement and legal disclaimers
- our "just for fun" section with hobby, craft and joke related content,
and
in the blue bar below the "mailingstuff.com" logo on the home page, is our MAIN DROP DOWN MENU & SITE INDEX which contains the BIG list of specific Products and Services listed by category. There you will find the names, addresses, telephone numbers and descriptions of mail industry related business and services.

HOW TO USE THESE FEATURES
Select the item or area of interest from the blue index tabs by clicking on the tab. Or, select the product or service category from the drop down list by clicking on the small gray "down arrow" just to the right of the drop down list. This displays all the categories available. Select a category by clicking directly on it.

Unsure which category to choose? Use the Category Search feature to find the category which contains the information you want. This new "Category Search" utility is merely our first level of searching capabilities which we will be applying to the site. In order to find resources for a specific type of product, simply enter a portion of one word about the product, then click on "search" or hit your return key. As examples: to find postage meters, simply enter "met" or "meter", to find software, simply enter "soft". In this early stage of the program (which we will be refining soon), the key is to keep your search criteria as short and sweet as possible. You will now see a list of categories which contain the product or service you are looking for. Select a category by clicking directly on it.

A new page will now appear, as well as some new choices! Take a look at the black box which appears on the page (with red wording). This is were you can choose a more specific area of interest or product subcategory. Just click on one of the subcategories and you are now on your way! Please note: all product and service subcategories are available in both alphabetical and geographic listing for easy review. They will automatically show the alphabetical listing first. To switch between alphabetical and geographic listings, look at the blue box just under the "SUBCATEGORY HEADING", you will see the words "ALPHABETICAL/GEOGRAPHIC". Just click on one of these words to select that listing type. (If you are on the ALPHABETICAL INDEX only the words "GEOGRAPHIC" will change the listing and vise versa.)

To return to the subcategory index (the index in the black box), click on the red "BACK" triangle to the right of the page heading, or, to choose another category click on the "HOME" link to the left of the page heading or the "[HOME]" link near the bottom of each page.

WHAT ABOUT THOSE TEXT LINES IN RED WITH UNDERLINES, AND THOSE BLUE ICONS?
If you've already been to either the alphabetical and geographic index of products and services you've probably noticed that some company names and other lines appear in red and are underlined. These lines work two ways:

If a companies name appears in red and is underlined you can click on the company name and go directly to the company's web site. (You will also see a line like ":http://www.somesite.com" in red. This will also take you the the company's web site.) To return to mailingstuff.com, look near the bottom of your browsers screen for the line that reads "Click here to return to mailingstuff.com". Simply click on that line and you will return to the mailingstuff.com page you were previously on.

Second, the other red, underlined text lines represent other areas of products or services the company provides. Clicking on any of these lines will take you to that companies listing in other areas of mailingstuff.com.

The large blue buttons tell you the company's geographic scope of operation, such as "LOCAL STATE ONLY", "REGIONAL", "NATIONAL" & "INTERNATIONAL". Use this information to help you find a service provider or vendor who provides service in your area. (This icon is not a link.)
